I haven’t heard about nightshades being a possible problem. Can you tell me more?

Nikada nisam bila debela osoba.Tokom ratni dejstava u Bosni ,od stresa sam pocela da se gojim iako nismo imali hrane ,struje niti vode.Otkrili su mi da bolujem od usporenog rada stitne.Pijem Eutirox od 100mg.Nisam ni sada debela,dobila sam od stresova i dijabetis 2.Ali noge oticu,koljena isto.Lipederm je jako izrazen.Kada odem kod ortopeda ,neke kreme za koljena pisu ,idem angiologu isto kreme tablete za vene .Ne mogu trcati i raditi vjezbe jer se zamaram od angine pektoris.Zasto niko ne moze pomoci ,sta piti .Postojeli napitci ,tablete za ovu vrstu bolesti.Teoriju mi svi znaju.lp

I have diagnosed my Hidridinitis Superativa and I am 100% I have lipedema. Im not looking forward to the medical gaslighting that im about to get.

I can feel you, Tamara; I got emotional for the exact same reason this very morning. Frankly, I've gotten rid of mirrors in my room and avoid the one still in the bathroom as much as possible, because I find I feel better if I don't LOOK at it more than necessary as it keeps getting worse... but I can see why some of us might benefit from a self pep talk. I guess it depends on our personality but, I'd much rather have somebody accept my looks than tell myself it's okay (not going on about romance or anything, just- even just my father accepting it would be nice, people around me not suggesting how to lose weight or calling me lazy all the time). 🤷🏻‍♀️ Looks per se are not even the major reason for sadness but, rather- what begets the ACTUAL reason for sadness, which is social ostracism.

Same here! I felt that my GP didn’t really know what Lipedema was just referred me to lymphoedema website and to a local community centre to lose weight 🙃🙃🤷🏽

I’ve lost weight, but only to gain it back. My legs never changed. The only diet for me now is keto. I eat until I’m full. No calorie restriction and pain gone. Sustainable diet.

I would have called my insurance company to decline that payment.

Too many idiots on here defending the inept doctor. You all must be doctors who are sore because someone called you out on the BS that so many people go through. Or you’re unfeeling, uncaring people. I want surgery but im afraid of infection what if i get infection and loose my limbs...i need help i don't know the diet to follow or how to find a dr to see me or to help me ..😢i don't know all the information about this disease i have it in both arms and both legs

Hi im from Jacksonville Alabama can someone help me find a Dr/surgeon near Alabama that accepts Medicare and united healthcare..I feel I need surgery I can barely walk from my cankles that hang level with my feet so I can't wear socks and only slide house shoes...how can I get help 😢😢I have lipedema Lymphedema stage 3 or 4 ..😢I'm so tired of fighting this swelling...😢😢

Omg! The whole process is horrible. I’m on a waiting list for a lymphatic therapy clinic. They are so busy. I’ve been waiting since February. I’m next on the list, but still it is a month later. I’m hoping to not need surgery. In the meantime, I’ m doing conservative measures on my own. Good information.

Conservative care is so important. Manual lymphatic massage, compression, vibration plates, dietary changes, electrolyte balance,exercise, rebounding, lymphatic opening, water assisted liposuction, water therapy, elevation, massage wands, oil assisted massage, meditation and prayer, weight reduction, weight training, and prayer/social support.

The struggle is real 😅

I was born with Klipple-Trenaunay Syndrome. It’s a Pik3CA gene mutation. After a lifetime of Cellulitis infections I am now Suffering with Lymphedema in my right leg. I have been working with Drs in Boston and learning a lot from these wonderful platforms. My story is more involved because of the KTS. Drs say we can just manage it. Not a good enough answer for me. I continue to make it better, but feel very alone. I’m glad I found you. You have inspired me to never give up, but more importantly get involved. I have quite a story to tell. I have never thought anyone would want to hear it. But I can’t do nothing.

I still don't get it. Does having a pear shape always mean lipedema?

It wasn't in the hospital wings but rather in the area which serves research and classes purposes. I don't know if it can be useful to somebody in my area (Italy).
